I had to rush our cat to the vet a couple of weeks ago ---to make a long story short... he ended up having to stay in the animal hospital for 5 nights! He was having some major bladder problems and was on the verge of dying when I got him there. It snuck up on us very quickly--- I noticed him not feeling well one evening and by the next afternoon the vet only gave him a few more hours to live.
I did not know how hard it was to get a cat to eat a pill:) Thank goodness the vet recommended these to us ---they worked wonders for us!!!
I think I dreaded going to the vet more than he did. You see I took him to the same vet that years ago my dad took us too to put out family dog down. I really thought I was going to be doing the same thing with Spooky --- needless to say I was pretty upset when I pulled in the parking lot. I managed to pull myself together before entering. I am really not that much of a "animal lover" so to speak but I really did not like seeing him in so much pain and Chad agreed to take him to a vet instead of handling it in the woods --- thank goodness because he ended up feeling so much better after surgery and is pretty much back to normal.
Oh and just in case you are wondering... we do not discuss the vet bill in our household--- it is NOT a good subject!
Oh and the prescription food that he now eats at 40.00 a bag... thats a secret between Spooky and I:)
