We had some really bad weather last night!!!!!! It completely caught me off guard. I got home a little after dark ..... right when the storm was starting to get really bad. The power had
already gone out so it was so stinkin dark I could not see
anything!!!! I managed ( with the help from my cell phone) to find flashlights
and get some candles going!!!! Of course this had to happen on a night when
Chad was working late. I was pretty scared ..I'm not even going to act like I
wasn't :) The animals were scared too!!!! I thought about going to Mandi's but
did not really feel like having to drive with it raining so hard so I decided to give
it a little bit and see how it went. Let me also tell you that my big mouth had
already used up my phone battery and it was on the verge of dying!!! Great ...
by myself.... no phone... no water.... no electricity ... trees and limbs falling all
over the place.... just where I wanted to be!!!! With nothing else really to do, I
laid in bed and watched the lightning out the window. I tried to imagine I was at
the beach watching the storm out on the water. Don't ask me why but dad has
always enjoyed watching storms on the ocean but for some reason last night
just was NOT the same ...not even close:) It rained and rained and rained...it
was still raining when Chad got home around 1:00 this morning!! I have
never been so excited to see him. I didnt sleep at all ---so I am pretty
much dragging today!!! We finally got our power back this morning so
thankfully life is back to normal!!!!
