The Pumpkin Patch

So Chad agreed to go to the pumpkin patch with me the other night. We needed to replace a couple of tiny pumpkins that I had put out on the haybale. Something has been enjoying eating them this year :) He also agreed to take ONE picture so that I could send it off in the mail with some cards. I was SO excited because this is totally not like him to go to a pumpkin patch to begin with yet alone agree to having his picture taken:)


The lady taking the picture did the best she could and this is what I got: Yall I could not for the life of me figure out how to explain to her how to use the camera:)

Note to self ... next time hubby agrees to do something out of the ordinary make sure you are prepared and also make sure to take more than just one picture:) I realized very quickly that I still have ALOT to learn about my new camera. Some of my family went together and got me this totally awesome camera for my birthday back in June...the only problem is I am still learning all the details to it and I have no idea how to explain to someone else how to use it!! For me its just been one of those things where the more I use it the easier it becomes. I am sure I could have gotten him to pose for a few more but they were busy and I was already frusturated at how crazy I sounded trying to explain the camera to begin with! I am determined though to become a seriously good photographer...at the rate I am going its going to be awhile before I deserve that title!

With or without a good picture we had a fun time and enjoyed dinner together afterwards. I might not have the best picture to prove it but a memory was definitely made at the pumpkin patch this year. We got back in the car and Chad said you need to learn how to use that camera before you ask me to take a picture again! I tried to explain to him that I do know how to use it I just dont know how to explain it to someone else:) Ha Ha.. I think I embarrassed him a little... I am sure it wont be the last time this ever happens to him! Maybe by next year I will have it down and can convince him to go again!
