Thankful For Veterans

I have spent a good part of the day at the VA Hospital here in Gainesville with my Grandpa. I guess I should say that mom, dad and my grandmother were there as well. I have been to this hospital many times in the past. I always use to think it was just nasty and gross with many crazy people!!!!! Today for some reason I couldn't help but think how everyone waiting there in the ER was a veteran, someone who served our country in some way or another. That in itself is such a statement. I have my own opinions on how the hospitals are run. It is hard at times when you have been waiting for sooooooooooooooooo long to be thankful for anything. However, as I sat there today trying to find something good in the whole situation, I was quickly reminded of ALL those that have served this country. I am so thankful for everyone that was there, especially my own grandpa. I have many fond memories, including floating on my back in the ocean with him!!! As a kid, grandpa would take my sister and I to the beach. He always allowed us to go way further out than mom and dad would ever think about!!!! He taught us how to relax on our backs and float over the waves:) Please keep him in your prayers..... looks like he will be in the hospital for awhile.
