Hope everyone is having a fun GREEN day today!!!!!! As a kid, I use to get so excited about this holiday for some reason. Mainly because of all the traditions that our family always did. We would always have GREEN sprite, GREEN cupcakes, GREEN outfits, and of course the traditional meal of corn beef and GREEN cabbage!!!!!
This is my first time ever trying to make the Saint Patricks Day meal on my own. I have the meat, pot, cabbage, and carrots in my crock pot as I type.... I am hoping it turns out well :) I have never really been a big fan of the actual meal, but Chad does like it and I hope it turns out for him. I called my mom at 6:30 this morning to get last minute advise on preparing it!!!!! This is not too unusual for me, I think she is use to getting early morning calls from me by now.
I am going to leave you today with a few Irish Proverbs:

HAPPY SAINT PATTY'S DAY to you too! I put everything in the crock pot the first year we were married and found out the cabbage gets WAY too mushy. Maybe you will get lucky and that won't happen, but for the future I advise that you boil the caggabe seperate. Everything else doesn fine in the pot :)
