Can the Lamb go to school today?

A friend of mine sent this to me the other day so I thought I would share! Obviously we do not have our own children... but I cannot tell you how many times I have wondered what our schools are going to be like a few years down the road.

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play,
to have a Lamb at school.
And then the rules all changed one day,
illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
or even speak His name,
Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
we heard gun shots and tears.
What must we do to stop the crime,
that's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

This week many of our local schools participated in See You At The Pole. I was SO excited to see so many students get excited about meeting for prayer before the school day. I remember participating in this same thing when I was in school. It was a reminder to me of how important it is to start our day in prayer :)
