Happy Easter!!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the day and remembering why we celebrate today!!!!! I am SO thankful He lives and has freed us from our sin!!!!!

Our work schedules are causing us to not have the most ideal day... especially for it to be Easter! Chads family was getting together around noon which we are not going to be able to make which pretty much stinks. Thankfully Mandi and Howie agreed to change their plans and work around my schedule--- they were going to eat around 1:00 but have changed it to later so that I can make it and hopefully Chad can make it too...even if he does show up late:) What else is new??!!!!

Which leads me to the Easter Egg Hunt--- I was totally surprised that my sisters would have a hunt with nothing in the eggs??!!!! Seriously what kind of fun is that...last year was a little different... all the kids were pretty young and really didnt know what was going on ...but this year there needs to be something exciting inside!!!! So late last night Aunt Angi came to the rescue and stayed up super late stuffing the inside of goodness knows how many eggs!!!! I am so excited to see them this year --- it is going to be fun!!!!

Funny Story---- My family knows me well enough to know NOT to ask me to bring anything too complicated. This year I was asked to bring green beans...usually they get all fancy and have green bean bundles...I think they knew better than to even ask!!! Ha:) So green beans... pretty simple right?? Wrong ... first of all how many pounds do I buy to feed the whole crew. No problem just a quick phone call to Mandi in the middle of the grocery store... PROBLEM SOLVED. Then I get home and after snapping beans ALL night I finally get to the second issue of the night ...how much salt and pepper do I need to make these bad boys taste good?? Nothing another phone call to mom can't solve...the only problem is that it was like after 11:00 and thats pretty late to be calling their house so whats a girl to do??? I called anyways and pretty much caused old Pops to get some more gray hairs I'm sure:) I guess I just need a little more practice when it comes to cooking!!!! I even started to panic that I didnt know how long to cook them so I decided I was just going to leave them be. I called Mandis over and over this morning...early mind you ...like before 8:00 on my way to work early! Howie finally answered ---heres how the conversation went.

Me--hey Howie whats up...Happy Easter... what are you all up to??

Howies response--- trying to get ready to leave.

Me--- hey well are you gonna be home for like five more minutes.

Howie--- um yeah why?

Me-- I am fixing to drop off these green beans and just let Mandi cook them ok??

Howie -- Yeah ok just get here soon

Me -- No problem

Hows that for taking care of the problem ... I hope she doesnt feel like I pawned them off on her ...I really didnt even get a chance to talk with her ...she was too busy getting ready for church and at this point I was like already 10 minutes late!!!! One of these days I will become the pro of the family but until then I might just need to be in charge of bringing the rolls:)
