On a more serious note

Lately a song that continues to be one of my absolute favorites is So Small by Carrie Underwood. I have decided to share the lyrics with everyone just in case you have not heard it.

What you got if you ain't got love
the kind that you just want to give away
its okay to open up
go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
you want to shut the world out and just be left alone
but don't run out on your faith

cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
is just a grain of sand
and what you've been out there looking for forever
is in your hands
when you figure out love is all that matters after all
it sure makes everything else seem so small

it's so easy to get lost inside
a problem that seems so big at the time
it's like a river that's so wide
it swallows you whole
while you siting round thinking about what you cant change
and worrying about all the wrong things
times flying by
moving so fast
you better make it count cause you cant take it back

The words can relate to so many different things in life but lately every time I hear it, I think of Baby D and his whole situation. As a helpless infant he overcame so many mountains in his little life. The other verse in the song reminds me of the constant struggle Mandi and Howie go through with his whole case. It is so easy to allow problems in our lives to swallow us whole. As many of you already know his situation has not been the most positive lately but Mandi and Howie are choosing to make the best out of it. Please continue to lift them up in your prayers as it has not at all been easy lately and the next few days will be a struggle beyond what I can even imagine. A good friend of mine has encouraged me lately to keep his biological mother in my prayer life. My prayer is that God will prepare her own heart as to what is best for Baby D.

Chad described the entire situation perfectly the other night by saying , "It's Frustrating." It is... very frustrating for our entire family . However I continue to remind myself that through our struggles, whatever they are, we become stronger. We love you Mandi, Howie and D.... we will get through this crazy time.

Whatever your struggles might be I encourage you to try to make the most out of them. Everything really is so small compared to the love we have in our lives:)

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". (Is. 40:31) Relay to Howie and Mandi that there are many prayers at the Throne of God in their behalf. Be strong not just because who they are but more so because of Whose they are, the very righteous of God through Christ Jesus.
